Further sales decline for Lantal Textiles

In 2010 Lantal Textiles’ consolidated sales declined to CHF82m from CHF86m a year ago.

The world’s leading provider of soft interiors for aircraft, as well as for buses, trains and cruise ships, faced a double challenge attributable to the strength of the Swiss franc and rising raw material prices. According to the company, which this year celebrates its 125th anniversary, people are again travelling more frequently as the global economy gradually begins to recover. However, economic uncertainties have caused passenger transportation providers, especially airlines and coach operators, to defer many planned investments.
