Biodegradable superabsorbent made from hemp

Researchers at the Purdue Research Foundation, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, are using cellulose extracted from hemp and refined through treatments to create patent-pending, superabsorbent materials, which could find applications in various industries, including disposable diapers and feminine hygiene products.
