Bulgaria's tailoring business shrinking alarmingly

Bulgaria’s tailoring industry was among the first in the country’s transition period to develop large-scale exports, but now it is among the fastest-declining sectors.

Orders for clothing have gone to other countries and continents with cheaper labour, and textile and clothing enterprises are closing or shrinking. Even the advantages of the industry such as speed, position within Europe and skills in making complex models have not guaranteed their survival.
