Calls for further action on forced labour in Turkmen cotton supply
The Cotton Campaign coalition has asked Turkmenistan to intensify actions against forced labour in its cotton supply chain as new findings suggest the problem is ongoing.
The country’s government has been enacting reforms to tackle fundamental issues related to cotton forced labour and to bolster the autonomy of workers and farmers, as well as facilitate independent oversight and reporting.
