Collaboration to revive Philippine cotton for the textile industry
The Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Textile Research Institute and the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority are joining forces to revitalise Philippine cotton and enhance its role in the country’s textile industry.
Through this partnership, the agencies aim to increase local cotton production, support weaving communities and reduce dependence on imported textile materials.
