Continental expands use of recycled PET in tyres

Continental has announced plans to increase the share of renewable and recycled materials in tyre production from an average of 26% in 2024 to at least 40% within the next five years.

The German tyre and automotive parts manufacturer is expanding the use of recycled steel, polyester yarn made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and Cokoon adhesion technology across its tyre portfolio.
