Dressing material for puncture

A dressing material that allows puncture by a puncture device, such as a catheter under ultrasound guidance, has been developed by Nichiban, a manufacturer of adhesive tapes, including surgical tape, plasters and haemostatic pressure bandages, and the University of Tokyo, both of Tokyo, Japan.

The material allows the puncture device to be directly and easily fixed and further allows observation of a blood vessel at a puncture site.
