A hernia-repairing and adhesion-preventing composite mesh made of textile surfaces has been developed by researchers at Bursa Uludag Üniversitesi in Bursa, Türkiye.
The composite hernia mesh contains a non-biodegradable knitted polypropylene fabric reinforced with an electrospun biodegradable polycaprolactone/pullulan nanofibrous surface containing black cumin oil.
