Loughborough researcher awarded university prize

Rameesh Bulathsinghala, a doctoral researcher in the School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University, UK, has been awarded the Sir Robert Martin University Prize in recognition of his academic and non-academic achievements.

The prize consists of an award of £1,500 plus a commemorative medal and is presented annually to an outstanding student at the university.

During his PhD, Bulathsinghala made significant breakthroughs in triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) research, a new technology for generating electricity using human movements and vibrations.
