The only carpet weaving enterprise in Bulgaria – Roger Vanden Berghe BG, which in 2011 acquired or leased some of Sliven-based Decotex’s assets and facilities – aims to invest €2m (US$2.3m) by the end of 2016, as well as an overall modernisation of production.

The installation of two new looms is also planned, one of which will allow the resumption of wool carpet production using innovative technology. At present, the company does not produce wool carpets and works predominantly with polypropylene.
