Skirted hernia mesh prevents inversion
A reinforced skirted mesh for use in hernia repair is disclosed by Covidien, now part of Dublin, Ireland-headquartered Medtronic.
The device is designed to be less likely to be inverted prior to and/or during implantation and, more specifically, while a surgeon attempts to secure the skirted device to the tissue.
