Smart fabric heats up in sunlight

A new type of fabric developed by researchers at the University of Waterloo, Canada, can heat up when exposed to the sun owing to nanoparticles embedded in the fabric’s fibres.

The development is said to represent an innovative and environmentally friendly option for staying warm in the winter.
