Smart vest prevents hypothermia deaths in elderly

Researchers at the UK’s Nottingham Trent University have developed a smart textile vest designed to monitor body temperature and identify potential signs of hypothermia in older people.

The technology aims to mitigate the increased risk that elderly people face due to losing body heat faster, having impaired temperature regulation, chronic conditions, medications and frailty.
