Syre accelerates plans to build textile recycling plant in Vietnam

Swedish textile recycling company Syre is accelerating plans to develop a global network of recycling plants, with its first “gigascale” factory expected to start construction in 2027 in the central Gia Lai province of Vietnam.

The US$1bn project will focus on recycling polyester textile waste into polyethylene terephthalate pellets used as raw materials for the spinning and clothing industries.
