Taiwan alliance targets Thailand’s healthcare market
To address the export challenges faced by Taiwan’s textile industry amid global trade and tariff pressures, functional and smart textiles manufacturer Asiatic Fiber Corporation has initiated cross-industry collaboration between textile and medical equipment companies, establishing the Taiwan Medical Textile Alliance with support from the Taiwanese government.
With Thailand’s recent growth in medical tourism and the implementation of bio-circular/green policies, the demand for reusable and sterilisable medical garments has increased. As a result, the alliance has introduced high-value medical textile products tailored for the Thai market, including the Air Scrub Suit and graphene-based Pain Relief Sleeves.
