Textile-integrated light switches using printable liquid metal ink

Researchers in Germany have developed textiles that can respond to touch and interact intelligently with their environment. As an example, they have shown a knitted lampshade that uses a revolutionary conductive ink, where a gentle tap is enough to switch on the light.
