Tough times for Russian children’s clothing producers

The ongoing demographic crisis in Russia and a drop in the birthrate has led to weak demand for children’s clothing, which has created problems for local producers.

For example, Orby, one of Russia’s biggest manufacturers of children’s clothing, could soon leave the market – the company is preparing to declare bankruptcy and has already begun to close its offline stores owing to weak demand and falling sales.
