Researchers at the Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University, Australia, have employed MXene functionalisation to upcycle waste textile fabrics, such as cotton, hemp and polyamide, into wearable electronics capable of thermal regulation, strain sensing and infrared camouflage.
