Turkish textile and clothing producers accelerate expansion in Russia

The number of Turkish textile and clothing brands operating in the Russian market has almost doubled in the past 2½ years, with most having benefited from the departure of Western fashion retailers from Russia.

Turkish manufacturers, such as LC Waikiki, Colin’s, DeFacto and Koton, were actively developing the Russian consumer market until the early 2000s, but halted their expansion, being unable to compete with international chains; they will now have to compete with Russian retailers that are gaining momentum.
