Uzbek textile industry faces slowdown amid falling cotton prices

Uzbekistan has launched 396 large textile enterprises worth more than US$3bn over the past five years, generating US$10bn in output and employing around 500,000 people, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a recent government meeting on industry development.
