Indonesia's strategic potential to become a ‘modest fashion’ hub

Indonesia is accelerating its efforts to become a global hub for “modest fashion”, driven by rising international demand for Muslim clothing.

The global modest fashion market reached US$327bn in 2023 and is projected to rise to US$433bn by 2028, according to the State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2024/2025. The market is expanding owing to a growing Muslim population and the increasing popularity of modest clothing worldwide.
