Yarn innovation hub to boost livelihood of Mindanao weavers
In a move to transform the textile landscape of Mindanao, the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI), in collaboration with DOST Region 12, is preparing to launch the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC) in Cotabato.
This state-of-the-art facility will be the first yarn production centre of its kind in Mindanao, aiming to catalyse sustainable development and innovation in the region’s textile industry.
