Autins secures orders for automotive acoustic absorbing products

The UK-based Autins Group reports that it has secured orders worth an annual £1m for its new acoustic absorbing products for the automotive industry.

Autins Group specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of acoustic and thermal insulation solutions primarily in the automotive sector, but with an increasing focus on other sectors, including marine, rail, commercial vehicles and industrial sectors.

The group produces and supplies more than 2m parts per month to customers including some of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers.

Following a successful initial public offering in August 2016, Autins reported 2016 revenue of £20.4m, up 3% from £19.5m in the previous year.

The company said the key external drivers of growth have been the trend among UK car manufacturers towards premium vehicles that have a greater need for products that minimise noise. It has also benefitted from the continuing trend to take weight out of vehicles.
