Autoneum, Nittoku and Toyota Boshoku establish R&D joint venture

Three automobile suppliers – Autoneum, Nihon Tokushu Toryo (Nittoku) and Toyota Boshoku – are to expand their existing collaboration through joint research and development activities in vehicle acoustics by means of a joint venture.

The collaboration, which is subject to approval by regulatory authorities, is expected to begin in January 2018.

The initial customer Toyota and other automotive-related companies are expected to benefit from this bundling of acoustics expertise in pre-development studies as well as through innovative components for optimised vehicle acoustics.
