Carbon fibre aircraft wins design award

BlackWing Sweden, a developer and manufacturer of lightweight aircraft, has won the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2016 for an aircraft with carbon fibre fabric wings and fuselage.

BlackWing’s BW600 series lightweight aircraft, available now as a microlight, was designed by founder and chief executive officer Niklas Anderberg using TeXtreme Spread Tow carbon fibre fabric from Oxeon.
