Curved carbon fibre rear bumper beam for Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Pultrusion specialist Thomas Technik & Innovation (TTI) has collaborated with Shape, a US-based Tier 1 supplier of metallic body structure components, plastic parts and bumper systems, to develop a curved carbon fibre rear bumper beam for the latest Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sports car.

TTI’s Radius Pultrusion technology was used to produce the curved profiles and satisfy a demanding set of safety, performance, production rate and cost requirements.
