Fabric designed for new London underground line

UK-based transport textiles producer Camira Fabrics is to weave the moquette seat upholstery for the trains on the latest underground line in London.

Crossrail, or the new Elizabeth Line, is the east-west underground route running for around 100 km from Reading and Heathrow Airport in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.

In keeping with the royal name of the line, regal purple is the dominant colour on all Elizabeth Line branding, which is carried through to seat upholstery from British design studio Wallace Sewell.
