Lighter, stronger composites for aerospace parts

Cheshire, UK-based machine builder Cygnet Texkimp has been awarded a £200,000 grant to develop machinery for the manufacture of lighter, stronger composites for the international aerospace market.

The company of Northwich was selected as part of a national programme organised by Innovate UK following a competitive tender process.

Cygnet Texkimp will join a consortium of four British specialists who will collaborate in a four-year project to expand the use of composite material in future-generation aircraft.
