Techtextil to highlight the car interiors of the future

According to Commerzbank, the automotive market is the most important consumer of technical textiles, which are ensuring that cars are becoming increasingly lighter. Around 23 kg of fibre-based material is currently used in a new car; this is forecast to rise soon to 30-35 kg.

Many design engineers, designers and purchasers will undoubtedly visit the Techtextil trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 4-7 May, where more than 600 exhibitors show their products in transport technology applications, including frame-and-body construction, car interiors and safety equipment for vehicles.
