Toyobo to double airbag fabric capacity

In response to growing demand, Toyobo is to invest ¥10bn (US$85.1m) and double production capacity for airbag fabrics over the next four years.

The Japan-based company plans to build a manufacturing facility by 2020 at a local plant of German yarn maker PHP Fibers, in which Toyobo has invested jointly with Thailand-based Indorama Ventures since 2014.
