Azerbaijan yarn production increases

In the first six months of 2019, the total value of footwear, clothing, yarn and leather goods produced in Azerbaijan amounted to AZM233.3m (US$137.5m), 18.8% more than in the previous year, reports the State Statistical Committee.

Clothing production increased 3.3% and reached AZM59.1m (US$34.8m), the production of leather goods and footwear grew by 2% to AZM9.2m (US$5.4m), and the production of yarn increased 51.2% to AZM198.1m (US$116.8m) in the January-June period.
