Decline in Uzbek cotton production

Cotton production in Uzbekistan fell by 30% year on year during the January-July period, although exports grew for the period, according to the State Committee of Statistics.

Exports to China in the first half of current year amounted to US$141.5m, which was significantly higher than the same period last year.
