Moldovan government to support textile producers

Textile production in Moldova in the first quarter of 2019 fell by 12.2% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. A decline was also observed for clothing, with production falling 9.9% during the period.

To prevent a further decline, the government is designing a series of measures to stabilise the industry, inlcuding more active promotion of Moldovan textile goods, including under the recently established “Din Inimă. Branduri de Moldova”.
