Plans to restart production at Tajik textile enterprises

The government of Tajikistan plans to restart several textile enterprises, including Olim Textile and Valizoda Mastchoh, production at which was suspended as a result of the 2008 global financial crisis.

According to Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, Tajikistan currently operates 67 sewing workshops, specialising in the production of school uniforms, along with 139 enterprises for the production of satin and 37 factories for carpet weaving. However, last year production at many of these was suspended.
