Russia is main customer for Uzbek textiles

Russia is the main consumer of textile products from Uzbekistan, according to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee. In January-May 2019, more than 38% of Uzbekistan’s textile exports worth US$250.2m were shipped to Russia.

According to official data, over the past three years exports of Uzbek textiles to China have more than doubled, from US$90.9m in January-May 2017 to US$190.3m in the same period of 2019.
