Chinese clothing maker starts construction of factory in Cambodia

Shenzhou International Group Holdings, a leading Chinese clothing manufacturer, has started construction of a new US$150m garment factory in Cambodia, where it has been operating since 2005.

The company, one of US-based sportswear producer Nike’s largest apparel suppliers, is one of the biggest textile manufacturers in Cambodia, with exports valued at US$440m last year and employing around 11,500 workers.
