Recycled knitted fabric inspired by sneaker design

The current generation of Mini, the automotive brand owned by German automaker BMW, is committed to the use of innovative and recycled materials in the interior.

In line with the “secondary first” principle, Mini said it will use knitted fabrics from recycled materials in all models launched from 2024. The material consists of 92% polyester recyclate and is used for dashboard upholstery, door trim and the centre console lid.
