Biodegradable wearables can monitor health and reduce waste

UK scientists say they have made a breakthrough in the development of wearable electronic textiles (e-textiles) that are both sustainable and biodegradable.

The research team led by the University of Southampton and the University of the West of England Bristol tested a new sustainable approach for fully inkjet-printed, eco-friendly e-textiles called Smart, Wearable and Eco-friendly Electronic Textiles (SWEET).
