Lightweight, soft robotic shorts can act as a walking aid
Researchers in Germany have introduced WalkON, a new assistive system that could improve the walking efficiency of older adults and people with limited mobility.
The system consists of a pair of soft robotics shorts that support the flexion of hips while walking.
