Pandemic has boosted electronic skin patch growth
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to an acceleration in many of the key trends underpinning the development of the electronic skin patches market, according to a new report by IDTechEx, which estimates that the sector will be worth US$10bn in revenues this year.
Diabetes management is the largest and most successful sector, predominantly with continuous glucose monitors, but also the increasing adoption of patch pumps for insulin delivery and moves towards closed-loop systems.
