Smart diaper solution for incontinence

Ontex1Personal hygiene group Ontex has developed a smart diaper that automatically alerts caregivers when the pad needs to be changed. The device includes a printed sensor and a transmitter clipped onto the diaper as well as an app for mobile devices.

According to Aalst, Belgium-based company, the solution accurately determines the saturation level of the diaper as well as the risk of leakage and alerts caregivers when it is necessary to change the diaper, which enables tailored, individual continence support for patients.
