Biodegradable seat covers in concept car

Austrian cellulosic fibre producer Lenzing has partnered with a Switzerland-based automotive think-tank to introduce highly sustainable fibres for automotive interiors in Rinspeed’s latest concept vehicle called MicroSnap.

As part of the collaboration, Lenzing’s sustainably produced botanic fibres were incorporated in the seat cover fabric of the MicroSnap to enhance sustainability of the futuristic vehicle, while offering softness, moisture management and body temperature regulating technologies.
