Albania to introduce textile economic package

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama attended a meeting last month to discuss a support package for the textile industry.

This package, a reflection of a new model for the Albanian economy, is said to be radically different from the previous model, which was based on remittances and public debt.

The grounds on which the new model will be based include domestic production, foreign direct investment and better returns on efficiency. This will help ensure better economic development through collaborative partnerships between the government and businesses.
