More than 100 workers at the Armenian-Italian company Sartex went on strike on 6 October, demanding that they are paid their salaries as written in their contracts, as well as protesting against mistreatment by the foreign supervisors.
They also demanded that the head of production, Gevorg Gevorgyan, was not fired by the company’s management, according to the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre.
