German automotive interior component supplier Fehrer is to be acquired by Aunde, which is headquartered in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
The Fehrer Group is a specialist for vehicle interior components, with customers including automotive manufacturers, such as BMW, Daimler and the Volkswagen. The product range includes moulded seat pads for automotive seats, seat modules such as armrests, consoles and fillers, as well as trim and structural parts for the automotive interior and exterior.
The company currently has around 4,000 employees at 11 locations in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the US and China. Its annual revenue for 2014 is forecast at €480m. Fehrer also operates in India and South Africa via joint ventures.
