At last month’s Composite Europe trade fair held in Stuttgart, Germany, the Institut für Textiltechnik of RWTH Aachen University presented an automotive door panel made from biodegradable materials, such as flax, hemp and polylactide.

The door panel was developed as part of the System4Green project, which was completed in December 2016, together with the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations.
