Autoneum starts construction of new production facility in Mexico

Autoneum has started construction of a new plant in Mexico. The Switzerland-based company said the decisive factor behind the expansion of its production capacities in this the North American growth market is high demand from global vehicle manufacturers for lightweight and multifunctional components.

This will be Autoneum’s third manufacturing location in North America. From the start of 2017, carpet systems, inner dashes and floor insulators will be produced at the 19,000 m² plant in San Luis Potosí, around 400 km northwest of Mexico City, supplying US and German original equipment manufacturers producing locally for the North American market.
