An improved implantable banding device for stabilising a periprosthetic fracture is disclosed by biotechnology company Cousin Biotech of Wervicq-Sud, France.
The device is said to require fewer instruments for the final and/or intermediate tensioning, and reduces the number of steps in its placement, which makes it possible to save time and therefore avoid or limit the risk of infection.
