Bangladeshi investment blocked in Serbia

The Serbian bank account of Pretty Sweaters has been blocked. The Bangladesh-owned textile company opened a production unit last year in Sombor, Serbia, the company’s first investment in Europe set up with the support of the Ministry of Economy and local government.

It is unclear what this means for the state subsidy of €3.4m (US$3.9m) provided by the Serbian government.
