Belarusian polyester fibre producer to increase production capacity

In July Mogilevkhimvolokno will start up a new polyester factory in Belarus with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year, adding to the existing capacity of 70,000 tonnes/year.

The new plant will produce polyester staple fibres in the range of 1.3-3.0 denier. Part of the production will consist of hollow conjugated siliconised fibres in the 7.0-15.0 denier range. Exports of these fibres will be destined to European countries such as Germany, Italy Belgium, Poland and Czech Republic.
